From June to September, Puerto Vallarta is a breeding ground for sea turtles. Turtle preservation takes turtle eggs that are laid in the sand to a protected area of the beach, where they will be safe to mature and hatch. Once hatched, preservation teams bring the turtles to Puerto Vallarta hotels so guests can release them into the sea. Under starry skies, you can release baby turtles from buckets and applaud as they scurry across the sand and plunge into the ocean.
