How to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day in Puerto Vallarta

Things to do

How exciting is to learn about the culture of other countries and even more when we learn something new. Today I’m going to tell you about a celebration that is carried out every year in the European continent and also in Puerto Vallarta.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th of each year in Ireland, where millions of people around the world gather to commemorate St. Patrick, an icon in that country. During this day, people dress in green (pants, hats, skirts, among other accessories). All the buildings of Ireland light up with this color and musical bands play songs that represent this day.

In Puerto Vallarta, this fantastic celebration takes place in some establishments and public spaces. For this year 2016, the romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta will be commemorating this special day. The bar Los Muertos Brewing, located in Olas Altas,  has already prepared a special program, which will offer shots of Irish drinks such as Baileys, Jameson and Stout beer.

On the side of Riviera Nayarit, some restaurants of Nuevo Vallarta will decorate with green to create an atmosphere like in Ireland. Last year in Bucerías area, an important event was held in honor to  St. Patrick’s Day and this year they will also celebrate this party with beer barrels from Ireland.

Wear something green and join this celebration that is very close. Share your experience of St. Patrick’s Day with the readers of our blog.
