A Rainy Day in Vallarta-Nayarit? No problem.
The rainy season in Vallarta-Nayarit is almost here and during your much-anticipated holiday you could easily encounter a few rainy days– but there’s no need to worry! The area offers plenty of activities that will help you stay dry and entertained.
These are our recommendations for a perfect rainy day in Vallarta-Nayarit:
1. Pamper yourself at the Spa
Take a break from the sun and enjoy one of the region’s amazing Spas. Some resorts and hotels have their own luxury Spas with unique treatments to rejuvenate mind, body and soul; reserve an appointment and get ready to relax.
2. Go to the cinema
Check the schedule for upcoming movies and grab some popcorn. You can even watch a Mexican film to add something new and different to your trip. Ask in the theater for movies with subtitles and expand your cultural horizons to make your experience in Mexico even more special.
3. Go shopping
We all know there’s never a bad time to go shopping, but it’s even better when it’s gloomy outside. Shop till you drop at the Galerias Vallarta mall, where you’ll find a variety of upscale stores. It’s also a great mall to spend the day at- you can enjoy a cup of coffee from Starbucks or a yummy chocolate ice cream from Häagen-Dazs.
4. Enjoy your resort
Speak to the Concierge about activities the resort might offer if it’s really coming down outside. If you are traveling with your family, you may find fun things like movie screenings or baking lessons to make your time indoors more enjoyable.
5. Read a great book
This is the perfect time to start reading that book you brought along. If you don’t have one, ask the front desk; many hotels are well-accustomed to lending books to their guests.
Now you have a list of activities you can do while enjoying the relaxing sound of the rain. And remember, in this tropical climate the showers can often pass over very quickly! You might get to enjoy a dramatic thunderstorm followed by more golden Mexican Pacific sunshine, so don’t put away your swimsuit altogether.
