Some of Punta de Mita’s beaches are difficult to access or not open to the public, which is one of the main reasons why it attracts so many celebrities. They like to come and enjoy the sandy beaches, pristine waters of the bay and of course the gorgeous Vallarta-Nayarit weather, as it is always great for tanning.

This is an area where you can enjoy watching the waves crash against the rocks and luxuriate in the refreshing sea breeze.

One of the most famous lovers of Punta de Mita is Kim Kardashian, the socialite who has visited Mexico’s Pacific Treasure many times over the years in the company of her Kardashian sisters, family members and husband Kanye West. Surely it is because they enjoy the perfect combination of elements Punta de Mita has to offer for escaping the noise of the city and the stresses of their busy everyday lives. Just like Ms. Kardashian West, many other famous personalities have chosen Punta de Mita as their favorite vacation destination and even gotten married here. What do you say, would you come down and check it out?

How to get to Punta de Mita?

If you are coming from Puerto Vallarta by car, just head north. You’ll pass through small towns like Mezcales and Bucerias. Continuing punta-de-mitastraight for about 10 minutes you’ll see a bridge to merge onto the road to Punta de Mita. After crossing the bridge you’ll arrive in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle; keep going straight, past beaches like La Manzanilla, Destiladeras, Burros and La Lancha. At the end of the road is Punta de Mita.

If you’re using public transportation, you can take it on from the Pitillal. You’ll see a green and white bus that says “Punta de Mita,”; the price of the bus ticket is $22 pesos.
