Being one of the 500 best hotels in the world is easier said than done, considering that there are thousands of hotels competing for excellence. Those who triumph are committed to quality, innovation and attention to each detail; values that form the philosophy of Casa Velas and its General Director Pierre Bonin.
Accordingly, occupying the highest positions of this select ranking is fundamentally due to the labors of the hotel’s team, who make the magic happen and help to imprint the Casa Velas experience in the memories of our guests. This is how another award comes to grace the wall of the Casa Velas lobby: The Expedia 2011 Insider’s Select.
“This plaque is not mine, it is not for me. This plaque is for you, the hotel staff, because it is an award for striving to be the best each and every day and providing service that exceeds expectations, causing guests of Casa Velas to recommend us and share only positive comments about our hotel”, stated Pierre Bonin during the simple presentation of the plaque, held on Wednesday June 8th on the resort’s lobby terrace.
Evelyn Hernández, representative of Mexico of the online travel agency and presenter of the prize, added that “everyone should be proud of themselves, because this recognition is given to only 500 of the thousands of properties around the world”.
Co-presidents of Expedia Dhiren Fonseca and Gary Fritz sent their contratulations to Casa Velas in a letter accompanying this special award.
The award is presented just once a year to hotels selected by thousands of travelers who post their reviews and comments on expedia.com. In the greater Bay of Banderas area, only four properties obtained the 2011 Insider’s Select, of which two are part of the Velas Resorts Mexico family: Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and of course, Casa Velas.
In all of Mexico, around 25 hotels were recognized by Expedia travelers, noted Hernández.
