“Cooking” menu for Star Diamond Awards

Velas Resorts executive chefs pulled out the long tablecloths and presented their proposals for the menu for the night of May 28th, when the glitter from the 50 stars of the Mexican cuisine will decorate the gardens of Casa Velas, in one of the most elegant events of the restaurant industry, the Star Diamond Awards Ceremony.
On the past few days, the talented Velas Resorts executive chefs gathered at Casa Velas in order to cover every detail for the gastronomy showcase that will be offered next May 28th an this hotel boutique, a night that promises to be remembered: Star Diamond Awards to the 50 most luxurious restaurants in Mexico.
At the gathering, every participant exposed their delicious creations in order to amaze the palates of such prestigious party, organized by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.
Original recipes with flavors from the coasts of Jalisco such as “langostinos zarandeados”, garlic oil vinaigrette curvina, purslane tamales, lamb birria, coconut candy and much more, were all presented by the chefs in order to select the most representative of this “tapatía” land.
Chefs Antonio Martinez, Casa Velas; Kunibert Lengger, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit; as well as Jorge Sierra, Velas Vallarta all participated in the menu selection, accompanied by their chefs and cooks.
In order to perform the difficult task of menu selection, a quality vote was assigned to Mr. Pierre Bonin, General Manager of Casa Velas, host to the event.
Emiliano restaurant, of Casa Velas, will join the list of winners having met the most rigorous standards in luxury and service, as the best cuisines in the world.
