Vallarta-Nayarit, Mexico is one of the most important gastronomical hotspots in the country, offering many outstanding restaurants offering different cuisines ranging from traditional Mexican to Italian and Indian food. Dining in this city is a way to truly experience the destination.

Lucky for us, this month Puerto Vallarta hosts its annual Restaurant Week 2014 organized by Vallarta Lifestyle. This event is the ideal time to experience gourmet dining in this magical city, it starts on May 15th and ends the 31st of May. Paco Ojeda (event supervisor) mentioned “This edition will be very special for us, because we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week.”

This 17-day festival will have the participation of more than 30 of the most acclaimed Puerto Vallarta’s restaurant offering special menus at a cheaper price –the discount can go up to 50% off. This year’s edition more restaurants have joined the Restaurant Week, hence it promises to be an event that no one can afford to miss!

One of the main benefits of this festival is the fixed-price promotional menus that locals can enjoy, while helping the economy of the port.  Over the years this event has also helped Vallarta-Nayarit appeal to visitors looking to explore the rich cuisine of the country. Each restaurant assigns a special fixed price to their menu, ranging from $200.00- $300.00 Mexican pesos.

The event is a culinary event held year after year since 2005. It started as a way of improving sales during Puerto Vallartas low season, and as a consequence of the positive results it has have become tradition in the city. Over the years this event has helped making Vallarta-Nayarit appealing for visitors looking to explore the rich cuisine of the country.
