What is the Blue Flag certification?

It is a badge that recognizes beaches and marinas that have achieved excellence in four areas: environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, and safety and services.

To have the Blue Flag award guarantees the compliance of 33 strict criteria. These guidelines are dictated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an ecological non-governmental organization based in Denmark, whose programs are operated in Mexico by Pronatura.

Where are these beaches in Puerto Vallarta?

Playa de Oro: Located in the north hotel zone, in front of several hotels, such as Crown Paradise, between Marina Vallarta and Torre Peninsula.

Camarones: It starts from Buganvilias Resorts’ south area and ends at the PV boardwalk.

Palmares: It is part of Punta Negra beach.
