Día de la Marina
Date: June 1st
Every year the 6° Navy Zone puts on a grand parade on sea and on land through the historic port of San Blas. The event commemorates the noble work of the armed forces to protect and safeguard the citizens of Mexico.
Color Running & Vallarta Color Race
Dates: June 4th and 19th
These two races splash Puerto Vallarta with color. The first, Color Running, will be held on June 4th at 8:40 a.m.; entrance is $200 pesos for adults and $160 pesos for kids. The second, Vallarta Color Race, is on June 18th, with a cost of $250 pesos. Both races’ entrance fees include a t-shirt, glasses, medal and hydration.
Grand Velas Fashion Show
Date: June 10th
The Grand Velas brand continuously seeks to promote Mexican art and fashion, and is now putting on its third edition of the Fashion Show in the Riviera Nayarit. This year’s featured designer is Raquel Orozco, who will be showing her Resort 2017 collection for the first time.
RHA Festival
Dates: June 30th and July 1st
An electronic music festival in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. The word RHA comes from the wixárika, or Huichol, language and means water that flows; it’s an indigenous reference to the journey through life. These areas have a great heritage of wixárika culture.
