Celebrity chefs and world-class cuisine meet in paradise during the 2017 Cuisine of the Sun International Food & Wine Festival in Vallarta-Nayarit. For the second year in a row, Food Network star Penny Davidi has arranged an all star cast of culinary artists for four days and nights of cooking classes, competitions, poolside dinners, and a flashy beach party to cap it all off. All events are ticketed separately, so guests can select which ones they wish to attend. To help make such decisions, here’s a taste of the festival’s most anticipated highlights:

• Opening Ceremony ($69) – A Mexican fiesta by the pool, tequila and wine tastings get the crowd dancing to live music, while celebrity chefs mingle with attendees over hors d’oeuvres. Riviera Nayarit’s culinary ambassador, Chef Betty Vasquez, will perform a cooking demonstration as well, followed by fireworks and a bounty of desserts for every palate. April 26^th, 7:30pm.
• Chopped Challenge (Free) – A three-day cooking competition in the spirit of its namesake show on Food Network, chefs square off against each other to see who makes the best dish out of mystery ingredients. April 26-29^th, 2pm.
• Chef Dinner Under the Stars ($59) – Two nights of poolside music, dancing, craft cocktails, and unforgettable meals prepared by four different star chefs each evening. April 27-28^th, 7pm.
• Closing Ceremony ($69) – A beach party and red-hot fashion show rolled into one, every participating chef prepares their signature dish tonight, served alongside Chef Pat Neely’s legendary BBQ. Entertainment includes live music, a runway show flaunting today’s hottest beach wear, lingerie, and multi-million-dollar jewelry, capped off with an over-the-top fireworks display.
