Things to do
Relish in a lazy afternoon of cold drinks, smoky BBQ, sea-fresh paella, & live music from a full slate of local bands on the scenic banks of the Cuale River during Pasitos de Luz’s 5th Annual Riverfest charity fundraiser, 12-7pm on March 5th.
The great thing about partying in Banderas Bay is that many of the best events are picturesque fundraisers for local charities, brimming with tropical cocktails, mouthwatering food, live music and dancing. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Riverfest 2016. Benefiting the benevolent efforts of Pasitos de Luz to provide love and support for area children with special needs, the all-day event takes place at El Rio BBQ, on the scenic shores of the Cuale River in Paso Ancho. What better way to spend the day than washing down delicious dishes with hand-crafted drinks as the river runs under a current of live music at one of the best Puerto Vallarta festivals of the season?
A Day of Delights for a Great Cause
Past years have drawn upwards of 600 people to the waterfront beauty of El Real BBQ, and this year is likely to be even bigger. Starting at 12 noon, a total of 6-7 bands from Banderas Bay will take the stage, inspiring an afternoon of dancing and mingling. Performers include vocalist Lorena Peril, King David Bailey, and the Zippers. As far as food and drinks, expect ice-cold Mexican beers, a wide range of wines, tangy margaritas, smoky BBQ, and the best paella on the coast by Barcelona Tapas. Other happenings include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and salon services from local beauticians.
